About Us

WhO WE ARE

Our consultants come from a wide range of backgrounds.  One thing we have in common is that we are not lifelong career consultants.  We have experienced real-world business challenges, know what it feels like to be accountable for critical outcomes and what it takes to navigate the complexities of contemporary organisations.

Between us, we have held C-Suite appointments, run national businesses, led HR functions, managed multi-million dollar programs, held senior positions in multi-national organisations, worked in government departments, led business transformation and been on the sharp end of defence initiatives.

While our approach has its foundations in contemporary research, our application is always grounded in the contextual reality of our client organisations.

Stuart Waldon Partner

I am a Director and Founding Partner at nXus People.

Having spent my career in a variety of organisations, and up to the senior most leadership roles in HR and consulting, I have a broad range of experiences and capabilities which I can bring to bear in almost all business scenarios.

My career started as an accountant in the brewing industry, at the same time as I was a Reservist in the Australian Army Reserve. After 4 years in the finance area, I moved into the People space and then took a series of more senior roles across Australia and Asia right up to HR Director level.

For the last 10 years, I have been in the management consulting arena, assisting a wide variety of businesses and leaders across multiple sectors and geographies including professional services, manufacturing, health, defence, government, fast moving consumer goods, consulting and the not-for-profit sector. This diversity of experience enables me to bring an extensive range of skills and experiences to effectively consult to a range of businesses and to assist in the coaching and development of staff at all levels of an organisation.

Carolyn Trotter Senior Associate

I am a Senior Associate with nXus People with expertise in introducing and embedding agile into organisations. The rate of change is increasingly fast and requires organisations to be able to adapt rapidly in order to remain relevant. Having an in-depth understanding and knowledge of the agile mindset, which I use to help co-design new organisational and operating models. I believe in transformation through transparency, linking corporate strategy to the actual work being done. I operate by supporting leaders to delegate and empower their teams to own decisions to achieve the desired outcomes.

Prior experience as a senior PM in the Telecommunications sector set me up well for my agile coaching journey which began in 2010. Subsequently I have worked in Aviation, Banking, Insurance, Federal Government, Mining and Utilities (power and water). At all times the emphasis is on collaboration with all levels of people within these organisations to embrace agile.

Sharing the possibilities that agile brings is one of my passions. I enjoy creating and delivering agile training courses, and I have enlightened more than 1,500 people from C Suite to new starters. As part of embedding agile within an organisation selling the message is essential and I bring the skills to relate and talk to the entire organisation from IT, Procurement, Finance and HR and more.

Outside of work I continue to embrace agile and taught my husband the concepts whilst renovating. We have 2 Burmese cats, called Fib n Archie to reflect our love of agile and a good pun.
